The Battle of Jutland 1916 – I love how immersive the world of 3D digital animation is compared to traditional animating.

For this project I have challenged myself to work more towards the area of animation I enjoy the most. 3D digital based media. I have tried a lot of different programs in this project which proved challenging but I managed to create this animation about The Battle of Jutland. Following on from my dissertation topic of violence and conflict I wanted to choose something that I feel a lot of people haven’t heard about. I chose World War One as my starting point where I moved onto this event in time which turned out to be the biggest naval battle during the war and could’ve changed the course of war entirely, something I know I wasn’t taught about in school. The animation was made in a program called Blender and the ships and other objects were produced in a different program called Maya and imported back into Blender
