My research began with the science behind fear, what makes us afraid? And why fear is important? But down the line I discovered I’m better off trying to visualise fear, using abstract methods, strange landscapes, bright colours and firm shades. I found a way to visualise fear without trying too hard to make my work appear “scary”, but instead to express my fears through shapes and colours that seem ambiguous. Fear is universal, but one of the most prominent types of fear which I explored is the fear of the end of the world, I find the visual possibilities exciting and endless.
